Dimitrios Karydas
Dimitris Karydas was appointed Assistant General Manager of Regulatory Affairs and Private Investing in June 2024.
He joined NBG in 2010 and he has led several strategic initiatives including the sale of non-performing loan portfolio, the sale of a foreign subsidiary bank, equity capital increases, SRB and ECB projects. He was appointed Director of the Regulatory Affairs Division in 2019, responsible for the Bank’s relationships with the European Supervisory and Regulatory authorities; he has also served as the Head of the CEO Office.
He began his career in London in 2001 as a management consultant at PA Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers advising multinational companies on corporate strategy, business valuation and M&As. Then, he joined the equity research team of Citigroup, publishing initially on Valuation & Accounting topics and later covering Metals & Mining companies. He was ranked top five analyst in Europe in the Institutional Investor Survey.
Dimitris Karydas is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in the USA. He served as Chairman of the Board of CFA Society Greece for two consecutive terms. He holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from Lancaster University and an MSc in Finance with distinction from Bayes Business School in London. He successfully completed the Private Equity Certificate Program from The Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, an opt-in research community of business professionals.
