At NBG, we have a framework for the responsible use of AI. Overall, we ensure all use of AI systems aligns with the standards, expectations, and requirements set forth by society, the relevant regulatory authorities, and our stakeholders across seven (7) defining themes.
We maintain our commitment to moral integrity. We will not use AI decision-making for a process that can be more justifiably pursued through human resolution.
We are judicious in handling AI technology's immense potential. We consider the holistic impact of our use on all potential stakeholders involved—our employees, customers, shareholders, and communities. We understand each stakeholder's position and commit only to executing reasonable use cases.
When applying our policy for the responsible use of AI, we ensure that our measures are proportionate to the risks and benefits of AI use.
Responsible AI Principles
1. Accountability: We hold ourselves accountable for ensuring adherence to applicable laws, policies, and standards and for the appropriate and effective use of AI systems
2. Transparency and Disclosure: We maintain complete transparency with all relevant stakeholders when using AI systems and their interactions with them.
3. Fairness and Equity: We are vigilant against the possibility of biases in data and algorithms resulting in inequitable outcomes and decisions.
4. Data Protection and Privacy: We ensure our AI systems comply with all applicable data privacy laws and protect privacy and personal data.
5. Human Centricity: We design our AI systems to empower, preserve authority, and ensure the well-being of humans using them.
6. Reliability, Safety, and Security: We ensure our systems are robust and resilient and have safeguards to reduce the risk of unintended behaviors and outcomes.
7. Social and Environmental Consciousness: We design our AI systems and processes to promote positive, sustainable impact and avoid perpetuating adverse effects on society or the environment.
