You can either reset or restore the applicable limit of contactless transactions carried out without the use of a pin, either through the Internet & Mobile Banking applications, as long as you are a registered user, or by submitting a request to his or her NBG Branch or by calling the Bank’s Contact Center.
After accepting the terms of use of the card through Internet Banking (if you are a registered user) or through the Branch Network, carry out the first transaction of your card through the ATM Network of the National Bank of Greece by selecting from the menu "Card Activation". For more information, we recommend that you watch the tutorial video we created for you.

All you need to use your card is:
- Your PIN, which you get by following the instructions provided with the card
- Adequate money available in your card
With your Social Solidarity Prepaid card, you can:
- Pay for products and services at businesses that carry the Mastercard sign in Greece and abroad
- Make contactless transactions in businesses that offer the option
- Make online payments at e-shops
- Place phone and mail orders
You cannot use your Social Solidarity Prepaid Mastercard for:
- Online payments such as income taxes, vehicle circulation tax, insurance premiums
- Gambling transactions
Temporarily, the acquisition of a new i-bank payband is not available.
With NBG cards, every transaction you make is secure. But you must remember that security also depends on you. You must keep in mind that your PIN is like your signature and:
- It is unique, strictly personal, and confidential
- It must not be disclosed to third parties, not even to bank employees
- You must not write it on your card, document, or object held or carried with the card.
- When you enter it, cover the keyboard.
- Do not accept help from anyone to enter your PIN.
- Make sure the next customer is at a safe distance from you.
- For greater security, we recommend changing your PIN at regular intervals.

The card expires in 5 years. The expiry date is stated at the back of the card.
