We are pleased to announce the launch of the 15th Innovation & Technology Competition run by the NBG Business Seeds program, on Monday, 22 July 2024.
This is the longest running innovation competition run by a Greek body, in which 8,223 participants have already participated.
The purpose of the competition is to showcase and reward original ideas, research results, business plans and companies that offer innovative solutions in the fields of Fintech, digital entrepreneurship, advanced Technologies & AI, Environment/Climate Change, Society & Governance (ESG), including the areas of Financial Literacy & Financial Empowerment, and to promote more generally innovation in Greece.
The thematic modules of the competition include:

Digital Entrepreneurship & Ecosystems
Advanced Technologies & AI
Environment/Climate Change, Society & Governance (ESG), including Financial Literacy & Financial Empowerment.
Participants in the Competition are invited to attend information, networking and guidance activities by members of NBG’s team and the program's partners: KEMEL, the Archimedes Center of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Onassis Foundation, the National Documentation Center, HIGGS, OK!Thess, CapsuleT, Bayer Hellas, Mastercard, NBG Pay, and 45 other bodies and organizations.
In the context of the Competition, the first three (3) proposals will receive cash prizes of €20,000, €12,000, €8,000, after evaluation by University professors and NBG executives. In the 15th Innovation & Technology Competition, we’re introducing two new categories of Special Prizes. The Special Award for Women’s Entrepreneurship of €4,000 and up to five Special Financial Literacy Awards for the Empowerment of Households in their Financial Decisions totalling up to €10,000. Last, seven commendations without cash prize will be awarded to those who qualify for entry into Phase 3 of the competition, excluding of course those who receive the above prizes.
The first ten proposals receive significant promotion and guidance from the Bank’s team. For selected proposals, cooperation with the Bank, the use of their products and services, as well as the Bank’s participation in their share capital are examined and considered.
The deadline for submission of proposals is Wednesday, 9 October 2024, at 15:00pm.
