When is the money transfer executed?

You can do so instantly if you want to transfer money to another NBG account. If you want to transfer money to an account held with another bank in Greece, it will be completed on the same or the following day, but you can transfer money directly with a small charge.

How is the money transferred?

By Internet

If you’re an Internet or Mobile Banking user, you can transfer the amount you wish instantly and safely, wherever you are.

By phone

If you’re a Phone Banking user, you can transfer the amount you wish instantly and safely, simply by making a phone call.

At an NBG branch

You can visit any NBG branch and transfer the amount you wish at the cashier.

Do I need to know the beneficiary’s account?

For amounts up to €500 you don’t have to know the beneficiary’s account. You can use i-bank Pay, as long as you know the telephone number of the beneficiary and the latter is connected to the relevant service of his or her bank.

How can I keep track of the transfer?

You can keep track of the money transfer through i-bank alerts and push notifications.

Can I schedule the execution of the money transfer at a future date?

Yes. If you carry out the money transfer through Internet Banking, you can schedule the automatic execution at a future date.
