The EMV 3DS protocol applied on our payment gateway requires Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) for card holders, ensuring every transaction is processed in a way that prevents unauthorized use of the card with which it is performed.

Strong Customer Authentication means customer authentication on the basis of two or more elements, i.e.: 

• something that only the card holder knows (e.g. password) 
• something that only the card holder possesses (e.g. mobile phone) 
• something that the card holder is (e.g. fingerprint)
