“Innovation Greece 5.0” came to a successful conclusion
With 149 speakers, 20 panels and 5 workshops, the fifth conference “Innovation Greece 5.0: Innovation in Greece and the bodies that support it” came to a successful conclusion. The conference was held live at the National Centre of Scientific Research (NCSR) Demokritos and attended by 550 participants. It was co-organized by NBG Business Seeds, NCSR Demokritos, the Archimedes Center of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACEin) of the Athens University of Economics and Business, HDBI, the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce, Bayer Ηellas, Μetavallon, Uni.fund, and was supported by NBG Pay.
The event was opened by Mr. Ernestos Panayiotou, General Manager of NBG Transformation, Strategy and International Activities, followed by welcome speeches by Mr. Georgios Nounesis, Director & Chairman of the Board of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, Mr. Dimitrios Papastergiou, Minister of Digital Governance, and Mr. Dimitrios Kirmikiroglou, Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior.
Ms. Demi Goudoufa, Deputy General Manager of Strategy and Sustainability, Mr. Giorgos Marinos, Assistant General Manager of Innovation & Digital Partnerships, Mr. Haris Vlatakis, Head of Group Business Strategy Sector, Ms. Georgia Mougopetrou, Head of SBL Business Development and Dr. Spyros Arsenis, Head of Business Innovation Development – NBG Business Seeds also participated on behalf of NBG. Finally, NBG Pay was represented by its General Manager Mr. Christoforos Hatzopoulos.
The conference, which was an initiative of Smart Attica EDIH, mapped out innovation in Greece by answering some key questions, such as: How is innovation implemented in Greece today? Who can benefit? Which sectors of the economy are affected? Which organizations support the effort of teams and companies to innovate? What financial tools are there?
