We’re participating in the Industrial Advisory Board of the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia
As part of our support for the activities of the university community, we were delighted to accept the invitation to participate in the Industrial Advisory Board of the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia. The Board is comprised of 16 members from Greek and multinational companies and organizations and their term of office is three years. National Bank of Greece will be represented by Dr. Spyros Arsenis, Head of Innovative Business Development. The main purpose of the Board is to facilitate communication and cooperation between the Department of Applied Informatics and industry in Greece and abroad, while developing first-class graduates for whom there is strong demand in the labor market.
The main objectives and actions of the Board are:
• To identify changing market needs and their impact on the Department of Applied Informatics.
• To provide advice on the curriculum in order to ensure that graduates of the Department are equipped with the appropriate knowledge and skills.
• To promote opportunities for cooperation in the areas of research, and knowledge and technology transfer.
• To enhance the profile of the Department in the Greek and international academic and professional arena.
• To participate in the search for funding and scholarships.
• To assist in the placement of students in internship positions.
