We hosted two leading European innovation events

The first meeting of the European Innovation Council Scaling Club hosted in NBG’s buildings on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 October was concluded successfully and well attended. The European Commission's program is a community of more than 100 European companies active in cutting-edge technologies. In the context of the two-day event, Ms Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, announced the start of the EIC Trusted Investors Network, consisting of an investors' group ready to invest with EU in innovative cutting-edge technology companies in Europe.  The event was welcomed by Ms Zoe Rapti, Deputy Minister of Development, while the participants were welcomed to our Bank by Mr. Ernestos Panayiotou, General Manager of NBG Transformation, Strategy and International Activities.

On Tuesday 22 October, the targeted networking event on cutting-edge technologies in shipping and reducing the carbon footprint was hosted at the Old (Small) Stock Exchange of Athens at Pesmazoglou street. The participants were welcomed by Mr. Theofanis Moustakatos, Head of Shipping in NBG.

On Tuesday evening (22 October), the welcome event of the Tech Tour South East conference was held at the Old (Small) Stock Exchange of Athens. Welcome speeches were given by Mr. Yannis Tsakiris, vice-President of the EIB, and Mr. Ernestos Panayiotou, General Manager of NBG Transformation, Strategy and International Activities.
