The deadline for submitting new applications for the "My Home" program expired on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 14:00, according to the relevant press release by DYPA.

Here at NBG we participate in the new "My home" program, for granting low-interest or interest-free loans to young people or young couples with the purpose of acquiring a first home, with the participation of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) in the financing of the loans (Law 5006/2022, Government Gazette 239/A/22.12.2022 and Joint Ministerial Decision 189/2023, Government Gazette 1180/B/2023). 

"My home" enables you to acquire your own home with co-financing of up to 90% of its value and on preferential terms, as long as you are between 25 and 39 years old and meet the conditions of the program as specifically provided for in the Law and the relevant JMD. 

 

Specifically, you can get:

  • Loan amount up to 90% of the value of the property based on a purchase contract with a maximum of €150,000
  • 75% interest-free financing from DYPA and a favourable interest rate for the remaining 25% of the capital
  • Repayment period ≤30 years
  • Zero interest rate (100% subsidized by DYPA) for the entire loan for families with three or more children
  • Exemption from the obligation to pay the charge under Law 128/75 (0.12%)

Do you want more information?

You can get the loan if you're 25-39 years old (in the case of spouses or persons with a civil partnership agreement, only one need meet the age criterion) and you don't already own a property suitable for your home, with an annual income based on the latest tax clearance certificate from €10,000* and up to:

  • single: €16,000 
  • married: €24,000
  • single parent families: € 27,000


*The maximum amounts are increased by €3,000 for each child. The maximum income is the same as that provided for the heating allowance.

 

You can get up to 90% of the price due as per the purchase contract, with a maximum loan amount of €150,000.

Factors such as the value of the mortgaged property and the amount you can repay every month based on your income and your other obligations are taken into account when the maximum loan amount is calculated.

So you should know that you will need to provide part of the purchase price from your own funds.

 

 

 

Through the ‘My house’ program you can get a loan to buy a house, which: 

  • will be used as a first home & is located within a residential area
  • is at least 15 years old based on the building permit
  • is up to 150 sq.m in size. & value up to €200,000 as reflected in the purchase contract.
 
The loan term is ≤30 years.

You can submit an application at the Branch of your convenience. For your convenience, book your appointment online, hereThe application must be accompanied by a series of supporting documents for each of the eligibility criteria. Once the fulfilment of the requirements (age limit, income, lack of property already available for home) is checked for each applicant, then the creditworthiness of the interested party is evaluated. If pre-approval is granted, it’s valid for 60 days from the applicant’s notification.

    We’ll need your ID or passport or residence permit depending on your nationality.
  • Proof of your income

About your loan application

Your first visit

To start the process, you’ll need to come to a Branch, provide us with the supporting documents and submit the application. Once the application is pre-approved, we’ll contact you immediately to inform you and provide you with the pre-contract information form with the detailed terms of the loan. When submitting the application, you can give us your e-mail so that we can send you the update electronically.

Technical & legal review

After pre-approval, you’ll need to provide us with documents necessary to carry out a legal review of the contracts and a technical review of the property. Time for the final approval

After the reviews are completed, the application is evaluated and the final approval is issued. Then, a date is set for signing the contract in compliance with the deadlines set by the program.
